Honda CB900FZ  1979

In 1979, my local dealer wanted £1000 + my 500/4 for one of these. It was out of the question of course.
Now, 30 years later, I've finally managed to buy one.

Bog standard (I will get the correct mirrors one day, honest).

Those with eagle eyes will note that it has two right-hand grab handles fitted! The one on the left looks decidedly out of place (since removed awaiting a left-handed replacement)

Classic Bike Magazine: November 2009 - CB vs Z1000 vs GS1000 vs XS1100

Above are some scans of the recent feature in CB, where my CB900FZ scored the following accolade "...as a usable 70's superbike it's the best bike here"

For the purposes of this test, I had replaced the horrible black mirrors with an NOS example from David Silver Spares (R/H) and a chrome one from a GS850 (L/H). This at least gave a chrome pair - if not a set! Still looking for the L/H OEM part.
The bike is still missing the L/H passenger grab rail.
