Press Announcement

Milan Motorcycle Show, November 2009

The announcement at the Milan Motorcycle Show show of the new MV Agusta, Ago-Read Classic Promo Team riding and racing factory-built 500cc GP3s at most prime events caused a buzz of excitement when a media mogul compared this to " the return of the Beatles".
Giacomo Agostini will provide the two new machines that have been built by the MV factory's R&D company, HRT Racing srl headed by Ezio Mascherone.
Read said: "Giacomo and I plan to appear at prime international classic events and we are also expected to be invited to race or parade in the USA, Australia and South Africa.  Our capital investment in this new MV classic is around £650,000 so we wish to invite and attract investment to benefit from this great opportunity."

The suggested events are:  Spa Francorchamps "Biker's Classic", Goodwood, Schotten, Chimay, Zolder, Brands Hatch BSB, Mallory Park 1000 Bikes, Isle of Man TT, Hockenheim, Hamburg, and Imatra.

Read also noted: "The sight and sound of two MVs together will cause most backs to tingle with pleasure."
